Ethiopian Women Soccer Team Lost the First Match!

Nigerian women soccer team beat Ethiopian counterpart today in Algers Bologhine Stadium. Nigeria, who drew the first match with South Africa, scored three second half goals to beat Ethiopian ladies 3-0 and kept their hope to win the title again alive. After a scoreless first half, Rita Chikwelu broke the deadlock on 57th minute with long range effort. On the 72nd minute, Nigeria got the second goal through Chejine Ifeanyi who outpaced the ethiopian defence to make it 2-0. Then in dying seconds, Ekpo Effioanwan scored the third confirming Nigerian dominance in the game. Nigeria with four point out of two games made it to the second round. Next match of our ladies will be against South Africa and need a win to go through to knock out stage.
